In memory of Barry

Hi, my name is Alexandra Foster, I am writing to ask for help on behalf of my mother Anne Marie, myself and my father Barry who recently passed away after battling with Glioblastoma brain cancer for almost a year.
We are in a very financially difficult situation. Over the past year my mom has been and incredibly strong and thoughtful caretaker for Barry. Anne Marie and Barry have also been in a long and extremely complicated legal battle in which we have lost our home. We have been fighting this legal battle mostly without representation, and the stress and reprehensible attitude of people involved in the case was extremely difficult for us, especially for my father. The ceaseless threats traumatized the end of his life, filling him with anxiety and confusion which exasperated his injury, The legal actions also ate away at our time to spend with him and try to comfort him and say goodbye, as we were constantly trying to figure out how to move with him.
We have very low-incomes. I graduated from Wheaton College in December but have been unable to work very much since do to these family situations. I look forward to returning to work gardening after the move is complete and being able to support myself. Before my dad was diagnosed last June my mother had gone back to school at Cape Cod Community College to improve her career prospects as she was experiencing difficulty finding employment. She did not return to school this fall in order to care for and spend time with Barry. My father has been unable to work much for the last 20 years because of physical disabilities.
Any money raised will go towards helping us move forward and start a new life after the loss of our father/husband, and our home. We are now emptying out the house and both my mother and I have housing for the near future. We need to have everything out of the house by the 19th. We are hoping to hire a few movers to make this possible as there is a lot of heavy lifting that needs to get done in a very short time. We are hoping to make some earnings in the future by selling our extra things. Money will also go towards a memorial service party for Barry on his birthday July 16th. We look forward to making ourselves free of this whole mess and moving forwards. It is difficult for us to reach out for financial help, and we wish we did not need to. If you are able to donate just a little bit we are so grateful, and if you are not we of course understand! It will mean so much for us to end this nightmare and say goodbye to Barry by celebrating his life in peace, and showing him that we will be ok.
