Medical Expenses

New Story: 2017 was meant to be the year we got caught up for real for real with medical bills. I mean, I got a better job that actually covered our living expenses and kept us off the streets (which, again, I can't thank you all enough for the help you provided during those years!) Instead, it was a year of getting the health shit taken care of, so of course I developed a health issue that needed multiple labs, some urgent care trips, and follow up blood work. (I'm okay, it's managed).
Corbie also needed blood work, a few months ago, which set us back on the utilities, and then, earlier this month, he suffered a stroke that resulted in his death.
We were still getting caught up on the utilities, and that set us back another three hundred. And so, here we are.
I have around $900 in medical bills that I'm trying to pay down, and was doing a decent job at it, until this hit. We're $300 behind with the utilities. We'll get caught up, I know that, but I'm also terrified of the next shoe dropping in the meantime, so I'm asking for help. My out and out goal is $1500 (that's on top of the $3000 already raised over the last few years -- I'm sorry, but I just don't have the energy to start a new campaign; I'm sure you understand) because that will get us caught up completely on everything, including the appointment we keep shunting off for Zerk, all our outstanding medical bills, and all the utilities paid up.
The (dim, dull, terrible) silver lining is, the monthly medical expenses Corbie had are now no longer a thing. This will be our last Corbie-inspired financial crisis.
Anything helps. Thank you.
