Road to Rio and beyond
Donation protected
Chaz has been a standout runner since high school and has committed to his passion fully. In early 2013, as a college freshman, Chaz suddenly and unexpectedly lost his eyesight to a rare genetic disease called Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy, LHON. For a time he thought he couldn't run again and after using the same willpower, drive and determination he used to compete in high school, he realized he could run and compete again. His goal is to qualify for the 2016 US Paralympic Team and compete in Rio in September. The track and field trials are in late June.
He will also be taking on marathon running later this year.
Chaz needs help getting to Rio. You can help with any size donation which will go towards travel, training and other related expenses. Thank you for helping Chaz on his Road to Rio!
