Rebuilding Humboldt Honey Wine
Donation protected
Humboldt Honey Wine, Humboldt's only meadery is owned and operated by Paul and Heidi Leslie of Alton Ca.
Humboldt Honey Wine officially opened April 1st 2015 after being inspired by a gifted beer kit and some left over honey. They quickly became regulars at the local farmer's markets and business grew beyond imagination. Recently HHW upgraded their equipment with the help of a loan to make larger quantities and meet increasing demands. With the love and support of the community the honey wine won Time Standard's 2016 Best of the North Coast Best Wine award.
Tragically on the morning of June 3rd 2016 a fire ripped through the 4th St building that housed Humboldt Honey Wine's operation. Despite their best efforts the fire department was unable to save the building and HHW suffered a total loss. What remains today is the passion and will to continue on.
Losses include all of the newly purchased equipment, entire ready to sell inventory, supplies and the 800 gallons of honey wine in various stages of fermentation for future batches. In order to continue we need help securing a new location and equipment.
We ask now for our communities aide in this time of rebuilding and look forward to many new "Happy Days" to come.
Thank you.
