Help Little Girl Gracie

Donation protected
Please take two minutes to read my poor little niece, Gracie's story...

This story is too devastating for my sister Jess to talk about. In hopes of doing as much as I possibly can to help, I've made this Go Fund Me profile to ease her stress and worry and to enable Gracie the best possible future.

On the 27th of September, Jess received a phone call that changed her life for-ever. There'd been a fire and Gracie had been injured. The photos you see of Gracie are after under-going months of treatment from being severely burnt in a devastating house fire. A terrible accident that left 2 year old Gracie with full thickness burns to her face, scalp, hand, abdomen, both legs and both feet. She was rushed to hospital and placed in an induced coma within minutes. The doctors told my sister that Gracie's burns were so horrific that this was her only chance of survival. It was touch and go for a long while. After several weeks of being intubated, Gracie proved how strong she was by breathing on her own.

Gracie has had weekly theatre trips for treatment and grafting. As she is so little 8t means she has minimal donor sites for grafting which makes for a very long process. A process that includes being intubated and extubated regularly which comes with its own risks, including infections, which the poor little girl has already had multiple different types.
Unfortunately, the amount of medications she is on has had terrible side effects on her tiny body, such as constantly throwing up. Her skin grafts have so far been successful, however, there are still so many unknowns. The doctors are still to determine the extent of the damage to her eyes and ears, which is unfortunately not something they can say at this time.

Gracie now faces a lifetime of treatment and her battle has only just begun. She faces things like, not being able to go in the sun and needing to wear special burn suits for years to come.
It was a horrible accident that has torn the family apart. My sister is unable to work and has to move in with our parents, who are caring for Gracie's big sister Chloe. Jess is living full time in the hospital to support Gracie's care. Being separated from Chloe brings its own emotional and mental health issues for not only Jess but Chloe and Gracie aswell, and at this stage we do not know when Gracie will be able to leave hospital.
With growing expenses, future medical and day to day costs of raising her two daughter's, not to mention the daily challenge of caring for Gracie, this family need as much support as possible.
Gracie will not be able to do even the simplest of things, like playing outside with her sister, without being covered from head to toe or undercover. Life for them all has been severely impacted by this accident.

So I'm asking, please, if you have a few spare dollars to support Gracie and her recovery, it would be very much appreciated. No donation is too big or too small, share this story with everyone you know so this little girl can have as normal a childhood as possible.

To everyone who takes the time to read this and is kind enough to donate and share this story, thank you so very much. Jess and Gracie will be forever grateful.
