The Torres Family needs our support!!
Friends, I am setting up this ‘go fund me’ page to assist in supporting the family of Jason Torres, who leaves behind a wife and 8 beautiful children.
Jason Torres was murdered Sunday August 7th after an altercation in Santa Ana, Ca. This terrible tragedy will have a very long term impact on this family. His children (ages range from 14 to 1) will need all the love, help and support we can give! This family is going to suffer a mountain of hurt in the coming years living without their father.
For the past several weeks the daily caretaking for all 8 children have been in the hands of Amber's mother and step father - Darlene and Jeff. These two amazing human beings are both working regular full time jobs, while splitting days/evenings/weekends dutifully taking care of all the Torres children.
Jason's oldest son Isaak is due to have open heart surgery to repair a valve that is potentially life threatening. This news comes only months after having a successful kidney transplant. This is another devastating blow for their family, as he will need full time around the clock care while recovering from his surgery.
Being that all of the Torres children are to start school, are in pre-school and day care they will need clothes, school supplies and as much financial support possible in the coming years! So far the bulk of the support for the children; their food, clothing, entertainment and basic medical care have come from the grandparents - the Washington’s as they get minimal help from the state and children's services. They are indeed the two anchors holding the family together.
The funds raised here will provide a much needed financial support cushion for Jason and Amber's children.
This will help lift such a heavy burden that has been resting on the shoulders of Darlene and Jeff. With our help, they will be able to give the children what they need and focus on moving forward from this tremendous loss.
