House Fire Recovery Fund

Today my family’s apartment was caught on fire and all 8 of the members of my household had to think instantly and jump out of the 3rd floor bedroom window, which was the only way to escape and the last window not covered in flames. My 78 year old grandmother, Agnes, suffered a severe broken leg, My mother broke bones in her back and leg, My older cousin Tiffany had broken bones in her back, legs, neck and had to have an emergency surgery. 2 of my little cousins suffered broken legs and arms, had to get surgeries. Hello everyone, my name is Jacquill Moss and I’m currently on bed rest recovering from chest bruises, fracture bones in my back and a sprained wrist from today’s unfortunate event. The fire was originally started from another apartment within the back of the complex according to our neighbors and made it’s way over to our unit. By the time it reached us, I was just getting out of the shower for work, my grandmother was in her room resting from her earlier therapy session and the kids were in the room playing. In a matter of seconds , the entire place went from daylight to dark fiery black clouds within the entire apartment. It was a total loss. We lost our pet cat and we weren’t able to save anything from the apartment. It’s been a truly shocking moment for all of us and I have no idea how long each of us will be in the hospital. My entire family lost all of our resources, important documents, all of our food, clothes and belongings. I also lost my camera equipment and computer that I use for work. As a family, our immediate need is heal quickly, find a new place to live, and recover from such a traumatic experience. We could truly use your help, no matter how big or small and everything will go towards rebuilding from the ground up and hospital expenses for all of us.
