Support Ella's Fight Against Leukemia

Hi everyone, on Oct 4th, my brother Jeff and sister-in-law Steph's oldest daughter, Ella, went into the ER with chest pains. After some tests, they concluded she had blood clots in her lungs. Within days of that diagnosis, we learned she has leukemia. She has since been in the hospital getting treatment. She just finished her first round of treatment, and everything thankfully went as planned. She is remaining strong through all of this. The doctors have told Jeff and Steph they feel it was caught early. Thankfully, all her other vital organs are in good health and all are continuing to show normal levels in her ongoing blood tests.

Ella just started her freshman year this fall at Crown College in St. Boni, MN. Her professors and college have been great through all of this in helping her form a hybrid learning plan while she goes through her treatment plan over the next 5-6 months.

The positives are that they feel it was caught early, and all very treatable in young adults and children. All her labs have shown that she's responding well to the chemo. The scans and other tests have all come back negative. Most importantly, we as an entire family are grateful for all the love, support, and prayers people are sending our way.
