Trying to go home

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jeremy (a Georgia Boy). I am stranded and homeless in Arizona, trying to get home to Georgia. Here's a little of my story: A few years ago, I came out to the Phoenix area to get a better life after a life-altering accident that involved a fatality. I have been staying with friends while waiting for my disability to be approved. Since Covid, this process is taking even longer. I was staying with friends who had to move because their landlord sold the property. The prices are really skyrocketing in Arizona. They are themselves in a predicament, with housing prices climbing and trying to find a place to live. They help me when they can, but most of the time, I am on my own with no family or friends, no one at all. After becoming disabled in my accident, I can't work and have no income. At this point, I am barely surviving. I live in my van, parking wherever I can, Walmart parking lot, or on the side of the road in the desert. Most days, I can't even come up with enough money to move my van to another location. The daily temperatures are now above 100 degrees and will be above 115 degrees very soon, with some days at 120. Now, with monsoon season starting, there are major dust storms where I can't even get out of my van, which doesn't even have an air conditioner. A dust storm destroyed my canopy the other day, which I used to get a little relief. Gas prices are going up every day. I want to get enough money to drive back to Georgia to be with family and friends and wait for my disability claim. Every donation of $5, $10, or more is appreciated. Please help me to get home. With my situation here in Arizona, I have lost over 40 pounds the past 2 months (I think from the stress and heat). I can't survive here much longer. I need to get home to Georgia to be with my family and friends.

I could elaborate more on my situation, but the bottom line is that I need to go home.

Its really taking a lot for me to ask and post this go fund me.  But, friends suggested that I ask others for help and I have prayed about it. And, I realize that sometimes we all just have to ask for help. So, that's what I'm doing.
