Dolly the loving golden retriever!

Our 2 year old golden retriever Dolly hurt her left eye 2 weeks ago. After many vet visits and a surgery, we went to an eye specialist today and finally found out why she's not healing. After abraising her eye, a common issue with retrievers of they're eye lashes poking in they're eyes has not only prevented healing but made it worse. Although one of our vet visits was looking at this scenario, they said it wasn't the case, the specialist confirmed this issue.
Dolly is the most loving sweet girl that has not met a person she didn't love. Weekly we take her to a public place (Piacaroons) just so she can get her socializing in.
After all of these visits, we find ourselves in the position of not able to afford her surgery to repair her eye. This situation of not able to pay for our pets care has never happened to us before, we are embarrassed and feel terrible about asking for help, but have little options at this time. We need to save her eye and have branched out for help.
Please know, we appreciate any help and understand this is a difficult time of year for many people and there are so many of them in need. I wish to express my gratitude to anyone able to help us.
