Help Chad Build Orphanage In Kenya

Dear Friends and Family, I want to share with you an opportunity I have been given to serve the people of Mumias, Kenya during a short-term mission’s trip from July 5-July 20, 2016. I will be going through Gather the Outcasts Ministries, a prison and revival ministry whose purpose is to take the message of the Gospel to the outcasts of the nations. Jim Rowh of Gather the Outcasts Minsitries has assembled a team who will be helping with the construction of an orphanage near Mumias, Kenya under the direction of Pastor Lucas Obanda and Jane Obanda. The Obanda’s have 29 orphan children under the care of their church, and they have plans to build an orphanage and a Christian school out in the country where the children can raise food and have a safe environment. The orphanage will be called the Living Water Orphanage and will house and feed up to 50 children at a time! Along with building the orphanage, we have plans to visit inmates in local jails and prisons where I will have the opportunity to give my personal testimony! When I met Jim Rowh of Gather the Outcast Ministries and I heard his passion for the people of Mumias and of the needs they had, I felt a strong call to act and use my talents to see the orphanage project through. I would love it if you would pray for this mission trip experience. Pray for the Gather the Outcasts Ministry team - that we would have safe travels, be open to learning from the community we’re visiting, and that we would grow closer to Jesus. Pray for the community members in Mumias – that we could love and honor them in all we do. Pray especially for the kids who will benefit from the orphanage – that they would connect the love we have toward them with the love Jesus has for them. Finally, pray for me –that I will not grow weary or tired and that I will learn and grow so much as a person along with my relationship with Christ. If you will commit to praying for us, please let me know. I would love to share that news with my team. Also, I am working on fundraising for this trip. Please consider supporting me financially as I need $3,500.00 total by July 4 - $1,600.00 of it by June 5 so I can purchase my plane ticket, and the remaining $2,400.00 by July 4. I recommend a gift of $25, $50, $100 or $150, but of course, any amount is more than welcome. I realize that I am taking a huge step of faith as there is not much time to raise funds before the trip.
