Pandora's Surgery Fund

Melissa Horne-Miller's baby, Pandora, had an awful spay operation.  There were communication issues with the vet, and Pandora was sent home over Labor Day Weekend without her mom getting the full story.  Shortly thereafter, Pandora started bleeding.  The bleeding was so bad that Pandora drove two hours to the closest emergency vet over Labor Day Weekend.  When her mom couldn't afford the surgery the vet wanted to do, Pandora was sent home without any other measures taken.

Pandora seemed to stabilize over the week, and had even stopped bleeding by Friday.  It looked like she was on the mend until this morning.  Today, though, Pandora collapsed.  Another vet was called, and came to Pandora's house to check on her.  He does not think she's bleeding out, but he does think she has an infection in the surgical site.  It is clear that Pandora is very weak, and she also is probably in urgent need of surgical intervention, blood, and platlets.  Melissa has spent everything she has, including the money that was being saved to visit her family over Christmas, to try and save Pandora.  Without help, though, it might not be enough.

We are trying to raise funding for a fellow Great Dane Fanatic, Melissa Horne-Miller, and for Pandora, so that Pandora can have options and can get the medical attention she so badly needs.  Right now, it is not clear where Pandora will go for help.  Accordingly, I am offering my law office's trust fund to hold the money until a veterinary hospital is selected.  Once a hospital is chosen, I will update this page with the hospital's information and all money will go to Pandora's care.
