Raising money for a bone marrow transplant.
Donation protected
I am helping my cousin in Zimbabwe to raise funds for Medical treatment, here is his story. My name is Vincent Kadzura. I am hoping to raise funds for my brother's treatment. My brother; Victor Kadzura is a very intelligent young man with a such a bright future. At 28 years old he has been diagnosed with Aplastic anaemia (a condition where bone marrow is not making stem cells which make blood). Since then his health has rapidly deteriorated. He has been advised by Doctors that he needs bone marrow transplant . He was on a drug called Danazo but it did not work as the doctors expected so we are now left with 2 options: Bone marrow transplant which is 90-95% effective or Immunosuppressive Therapy which is 80- 85% effective .I am so devastated by the diagnosis more so for my mum who was widowed years ago and left with two young boys to support. My mum has worked so hard to provide a stable life for my brother and I and now this happened. We are unable to raise the required funds to help my brother get treatment and it is so heart breaking to see my brother and mother suffering this way. We are kindly asking well wishers to help us raise funds for bone marrow transplant. My brother will have to travel to India for the procedure and in total we need to raise £50 000. Currently my brother is having to go for blood transfusions every 2 weeks and we are struggling to raise money for the blood transfusions given the current situation in Zimbabwe we feel so helpless. Doctors are saying my brother needs urgent treatment if his life is going to be saved. The sooner he can have the procedure done the greater the chance of saving his life so we are kindly asking for your generosity you are our only hope. Thank you
