Herbal Justice Fund: Making Herbal Care Accessible to All
The Herbal Justice Fund, founded by Railyard Apothecary in 2018, provides free or discounted herbal care to BIPOC individuals as a form of reparations, and to those with limited financial resources in Vermont. We believe everyone deserves access to safe, effective, and culturally relevant healthcare, and our fund offers consultations, scholarships, and up to $50/month in herbs or tinctures to support this.
Our unique program empowers individuals to choose the herbal medicine and education that best suits their needs, fostering greater health and well-being. However, demand consistently exceeds our ability to fundraise, leaving a waitlist of community members hoping to access this vital support.
Your donation makes a direct impact. 100% of participants report improved health and increased knowledge of herbal medicine, with many sharing how the program not only helps them support themselves but also others.
Please help us meet the growing need for herbal care in our community by donating today. All donations go directly to those in our fund.

Here's what some program participants have to say in their own words.
"I really need the Herbal Justice Fund to support my ability to afford tinctures and I use the fund on a monthly basis... I am a senior citizen and am not working due to health issues. I take herbal tinctures daily and they are very important to my health."
"The Herbal Justice Fund has allowed me to care for myself...As a Black mother, my chance of dying or experiencing long term disability from pregnancy is very high. Because I had access to herbs throughout my pregnancy and postpartum period, I’ve been in great health and am able to fully show up and enjoy my sweet baby."
