Donna's Medical Fund

So in February of 2020 Donna Sladek was diagnosed with non small cell adenocarcinoma of the left upper lobe of her lung. Then after biopsies, tests, and scans it was decided the best thing would be to have surgery to remove that lobe. She then had surgery right around St. Patrick’s day. The surgery was supposed to be laparoscopic but there was a complication and she lost a lot of blood in a short period of time in which they needed to covert to an open procedure. They stated “they got it all”and she continued her recovery at home. At her first visit with her oncologist which she had to attend alone due to COVID they informed her that some frozen samples of her lymph nodes came back malignant. Moving her from stage 2 to stage 3 requiring chemo and radiation. However they still considered her a curable stage 3. Then after completing those treatment she pushed for another scan and mri before starting the immunotherapy she was slotted to have. Those reveled a spot in her T-12 vertebra and a spot in the basil ganglian area of her brain. She was told this bumped her yet again... now being a stage 4 and no longer curable. So she was sent to Rochester for gamma knife of the brain and stereotactic radiation of the spot on her T-12 vertebra. So those samples were tested and showed a certain mutation which makes her a candidate for a treatment that will hopefully help manage and prevent more spreading. We are still unsure what the future holds and how much time will be given. If that treatment does not work then the only other option for her is to have more chemo and immunotherapy none of these options will cure her at this point. We are asking for prayers because without those she may not still be with us today. We will keep praying for a miracle and ask you to pray with us! “Lord, Your word speaks of promises of healing and restoration and I thank you for the miracles you still perform today. Today I claimed those promises for Donna Sladek I believe in the healing power of faith and prayer and I ask you to begin your mighty work in her life. Please reach down and surround her with supernatural peace and strength and give her the faith to believe that all things are possible from you. Protect her from Satan’s lies and discouragement and let her miraculous healing begin. Amen”. If you are able to give a donation to this fundraiser the funds will be used for medical expenses to lessen that burden and stress and potentially free up funds for travel and whatever else is necessary given the circumstance at the time.
