Help Hikurangi study Chinese

Hi there, my name is Hikurangi. I'm a 20-year old from New Zealand currently living in China, studying and teaching English on an internship with Sichuan Normal University. I learn Chinese Mandarin part-time, and have been studying the language since I was 13 years old.
My teaching has been greatly assisted by my intermediate proficiency in Chinese. Especially with children under the age of 10, because I speak enough Chinese to instruct them and translate for them.
Representatives from Sichuan Normal University have assessed my teaching and have offered me the opportunity to study Chinese full-time in their language program because of my potential to be a well-rounded English teacher in their country. However, at such short notice, I have no financial means of doing so.
The tuition fee for one year is very cheap considering comparisons to other countries, so I am not asking for a huge amount. Just enough to pay for tuition and the enrollment fee by July 10th. I will pay for my visa processing fees and accomodation costs through my extra tutoring work.
I am trying my hardest to make something of myself and realise my dreams to strengthen the relationship between people around the world, bridging communication gaps and learning from one another. I enjoy exploring new cultures and assimilating into them, taking the good and the bad that comes with it.
Not many people know this until they come here and experience it for themselves, but the Chinese are still unaware of many things that exist outside of China. Culturally and socially they are still very pure and I hope to use my communication skills to teach them how to be more open-minded and aware of what is happening in the world.
I have also found during my teaching that many chinese people who speak great English lack emotional sensitivity and the ability to express themselves in English. In order for me to teach young children these skills, I must first learn how to do the same in their language.
Raising this money would mean a great deal to me as I am not only representing my family and my country here, but I also wish to be a global citizen. Having the opportunity to learn and become more proficient in this beautiful language will be one of the greatest gifts I could receive.
I've never been one to ask for money, unless it is necessary. But I have learnt from my travels that it is okay to ask your neighbour for help. We are a global community and paying it forward is what it is all about.
Unfortunately, I cannot offer you a tangible gift for your help. However, I can assure you that your contribution is going towards helping me become a leader for my generation ... and you will get a personal thank you from me (in Chinese of course).
Thank you
Hiku
