We all have a moment in our lives where life can be changed in a split second like in the movie Sliding Doors. Where depending on the direction of that certain moment - your life will be changed forever. As many of you know Brenton Harmon, you will know what a unique person he is. Really... like one of a kind. Which when something happens to a special person like him - you quickly understand the value of the time that you have with one other. We're thankful to still have Brenton in our lives as he and his brother were involved in a severe car accident on May 29, 2016. Both were wearing their seat belts, traveling at a safe speed when they had a blow out on US 59 North near 610. The truck swayed hitting the guardrail causing the vehicle to flip nearly 10 times before the vehicle landed upright on the opposite lanes of the highway. Brenton was the passenger and sustained the most injuries. The door to the vehicle had to be pried open with a crowbar by his brother and 3 men seconds before the car caught on fire. Brenton has had to have extensive neck and upper spine surgery and has been at Memorial Hermann Med Center making positive progress. He was recently transferred from ICU to TIRR Memorial Hermann where he is now under going rehabilitation for the next 3-6 weeks. He is in good spirits and has a very unique story to tell. Come to find out he was rescued by Raphael the Ninja Turtle! Yes... Not a joke. It was actor Alan Ritchson from the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie who was en route to the airport with Tommy Flanagan from Sons of Anarchy and their driver (a former military veteran) who witnessed the accident and pulled over to help. Here's a quick article on TMZ:http://m.tmz.com/#article/2016/06/02/tommy-flanagan-alan-ritchson-save-car-crash-victim/Crazy how everything in life happens for a reason... No reason to ask the how and the why - just a reason to make the best of what happened at that moment. We are thankful Brenton is here today and on his way to a successful recovery. We know he has a long road ahead and understand that an accident like this not only physically effects a person but effects a person and their family financially as well. That's why we are reaching out to help support Brenton so he can focus on the important stuff - like getting better =)So please help us raise $10,000 which will help cover his deductible and some living expenses during the time he is recuperating.
