Weekly Pop Culture Set Menu for the Homeless
Donation protected
If anyone wants to help, we're making chicken sandwiches from scratch and giving them out to homeless people.
The idea behind this is to give a little more love, be a little kinder, and just do a little more for people less fortunate and going hungry. It's why we spent a lot of time learning how to cook these and developing the recipe.
Each meal comes out to about $4.50, and I also throw in FFP2 masks so that they can do their best to stay safe from COVID too.
Some people might ask why not do something cheaper or easier, and our point in doing this is to encourage more people to feel just a little more empathy for some of our brothers and sisters who've fallen on rough times or have even made mistakes. They're as human as any of us are, and if we can give a little, we think it's a wonderful, beautiful thing.
At a rate of 6 meals per week, we're seeking funding for a whole year which will be $1,300. Our goal is to increase production sometime this year to feed many more people, so expect this to increase to 24+ meals per week.
