Rylee chops for Cystic Fibrosis

My daughter Rylee has been growing her hair to donate to Variety Qld, she would also like to raise money to donate to Cystic Fibrosis Vic. Her cousin was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth and Rylee, her brother and sister, myself and her dad are carriers, along with a number of extended family members, so Cystic Fibrosis touches us all.

When she was 7 she was watching Family Fued, the question came up "Name something you would donate?" When the answer "hair" was on the board, she laughed and asked why anyone would donate hair. I explained about making wigs for children with cancer. She went quiet for a couple of minutes and then said that she would like to continue growing her hair to donate.

She later thought about raising money for Cystic Fibrosis which made me even more proud, that at that age she wanted to help 2 charities. 

She had been begging for quite some time to cut her hair into a bob, and when I explained that she still had 10cm to grow her hair to reach the length to donate, she was happy to keep growing. Over a year later, her hair is at the right length and she is ready to cut it off into a bob. 

Rylee would be so grateful for any amount that you can donate to her. She will be getting her hair cut in the next few weeks.
