We will be the bridge between the homeless veterans and the assistance that is available to them. We will be a beacon of hope.
Our Mission - feed, shelter and clothe - provide our homeless Veterans with the means to return to society as productive responsible members. UR-6 will come full circle - the recipients of our program can give back to their community of homeless veterans.
Supporting UR-6 will allow us to:
o Put boots on the ground to patrol for those that are in need
o Build & provide homes for the veterans
o Bridge the gap between available resources & the homeless veterans
o Create consistency & dependability through:
· Daily Reveille
· Multiple “Chow” times
· Various church services
o Provide education in:
· Skilled-labor
· Agricultural sustainability
· Intricacies of solar power and hydropower
UR-6 will offer:
Use of sustainable resources
A small farm - responsibly harvesting the land, hunting the local foul and fishing the Gulf of Mexico that is at our doorstep.
Access to large addiction recovery facilities in the surrounding area, including a local hospital that offers a detox program for veterans at little expense.
Partnership with organizations such as Veterans United, the Gary Sinise Foundation in addition to other national and regional organizations
Grants to continue our mission of support to homeless veterans.
Here is a brief video of the property we plan to purchase.
