San Diego Flood Victims
Donation protected
First and foremost, we extend thoughts and prayers to the fellow flood victims who have endured the tragic events and results from the Thunderstorm on January 22, 2024.
We wholeheartedly believe that together as a community, we will overcome this hapless turn of events that left homes flooded, leaving nothing behind but debris of what once were cherished memories.
My name is Keirington and I am 1 of the 7 members in my family alongside my Dad (John), Mom (Lisa), Brother (Johnathan), Sister-in-law (Roxanne) and my 2 Children (Acuzio(8) and Aubri(6)).
We have created this GoFundMe to humbly request assistance to aid with the rebuilding of our home and the lost/damaged necessities.
My Dad, John who is a disabled veteran, suffers from multiple health complications including heart disease, kidney failure, diabetes and additionally is a recent amputee/stroke patient. Nonetheless, He has been relentlessly fighting against all odds and we have been blessed with the second chance to continue to be able to spend more time by his side.
This recent flood has made it another trial and barrier for my Dad’s health. The flood has destroyed all his medications, medical equipment, and medical bed. With him barely making it out before further damaging effects presented itself thanks to the timely arrival of his VA Transportation Team (“SOL Transportation Inc”) for his dialysis appointment.
Due to my recent Achilles injury, I am currently in recovery from a surgical procedure that was performed on 2/2/24 and has limited my mobility, making it challenging to meet the physical demands to obtain further resources.
We lost almost everything, but the one thing we have held onto is our hope and faith that we can rebuild.
Unfortunately, to our discovery, our home insurance policy (State Farm) does not offer coverage for flooding or natural disasters not to mention that our neighborhood of residency lies in the 1% flood zone.
The aftermath and damages have been financially crippling, overwhelming and almost unattainable for us to pull together all while trying to find temporary stable living conditions and accommodations, food, hygiene/basic necessities and providing medical care to our Dad.
Extended in our family includes 4 dogs and 10 chickens that have been subsequently impacted from the flooding.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for any prayers and/or donations both nonmonetary and monetary.
All proceeds received will be contributed to basic/medical needs, repairs, and restoration. With the remainder, will be paid forward to other families in our community affected by the storm.
