Slow Bell Cafe
Donation protected
As many of you know, the Slow Bell was especially hard hit by the covid 19 pandemic. In fact, our gross revenue was down more than $100,000 over the previous year. I endeavored to keep people employed and the island fed. It's been a tough year. Though our creditors, landlord, and some employees have been patient, there does not seem to be relief in sight. I've put more than $30,000 of my own money and another $20,000 in loans into the business just to limp along.
With the dream of opening in a less covid encumbered summer, I'm asking for your help. GoFundMe is offering matching grants for businesses hard hit by the pandemic who are able to raise support from friends and family. Won't you help us keep our feet under us and keep our doors open? Every small donation counts! Reach out if you personally want to know where the funds will go. I will be 100 percent transparent with anyone who needs details to feel comfortable donating. Though I've fine this for two years with no pay for myself, none of the money will go to me. It will go to pay taxes, leases, wages, existing bills and start up costs for 2021. #SmallBusinessRelief
