Fundraising for Brett Brillhart
Donation protected
On June 5th of 2016 Brett was struck by a truck while riding his bike near Hutchinson, KS. While thankfully he did have a helmet on.. He has suffered several life changing injuries.
We simply want to raise money, all of which will go directly to Brett and his family, for financial support while going through this tough time.
Thank you so much.
And PLEASE keep your eyes open for cyclist and motorcycles YEAR ROUND!
:UPDATE:
Hey everyone, here is an update on how Brett has been doing the last couple days. Sorry for the delay, but we want to respect the wishes of his family.
Brett suffered a concussion and about a dozen broken bones. These include: two broken bones in his neck, two broken bones in his back, a couple broken ribs, a broken pelvis, and a broken leg. Brett had surgery on Monday, June 6th to repair his broken leg and broken pelvis. The doctors placed a rod in his leg to stabilize it, and placed a metal plate and seven screws to repair the pelvis. Doctors stated that both of the surgeries seemed to be successful. The medical team also believed that the broken bones in his neck and back wouldn't need surgery at this time; they believe that they will heal on their own. Brett started physical therapy on Tuesday, June 7th. He was also moved from the Critical ICU unit to a normal unit. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him, but has had a wonderful start.
We want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and donations. All of the support is much appreciated by Brett and his family and friends.
