The Brian and Debbie Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Our many thanks to those who have previously donated to this fund, formally known as The Brian Whitehead Recovery Fund. Brian is an amazingly resilient and robust individual and has been making trememdous and consistent strides in recovering from the injuries he suffered in a serious car accident on July 18, 2016. He is expected to make a full recovery thanks to your continued support, prayers, and love. But now Brian and his wife, Debbie need your help and support as they face yet another set-back in their lives.
On May 22, 2018, Debbie suffered a stroke. She was very lucky in receiving medical help quickly and is already on her way to recovery (Those of you who know Brian and Debbie personally know that these two won't settle for anything less!)
Debbie is doing well and is already home. She suffered a loss of feeling in a portion of her left foot and lower leg but is starting to recover feeling in those areas and she is able to walk. She also has some numbness in her left hand and arm. Her swallowing has been impaired so she is only allowed liquids and soft food and will begin therapy for that very soon. She is not allowed to drive.
Obviously, Debbie and Brian need more assistance than either can provide to one another at this time. Your continued donations to this fund will allow them to hire someone to help them maintain their daily routines and also offset the costs of needed medical and theraputic services.
Brian and Debbie thank you for your love and support as well as your generous donations.
Please see the pictures below of Brian's continuing recovery.
