When I was in the 7th grade, my father drove me to the old Border's bookstore at our local mall,to pick up a copy of The Odyssey for my history class. I remember being frustrated becuase they didn't have the copy that I needed, but that didn't stop my dad from saving the day... After a long conversation and a couple phone calls, we found the book and it was being shipped over night. Little did I know, after coming home, my dad had his very first stroke. Of course, being an ignorant pre-teen, I had no idea what that meant. I remember going to bed and the next moment, I woke up confused, wondering how something could happen to someone in just a matter of seconds.

Since then, our father has had over 7+ strokes. He's definitley a fighter, but recently things have taken quite a turn. A couple weeks ago, he had two strokes that impacted his speech and movement. He has gotten a better with his speech, that being a couple words in a hushed voice. He has regained some movement in his arms; however, he cannot walk on his own. But hey! There has been improvement and we are staying optimistic.

As many of you know, our dad (Myung Kwon Cho), has always been an incredibly hard worker, indescribably passionate, and has always cared so much for others. He has never put himself first and always wants the best for his family/friends/workers/ etc, whether it being his his non-stop work ethic, or providing every single one of his employees with a Turkey to take home to their families for Thanksgiving dinner.

Recently, our family has undergone a series of unfortunate events. Now give me a second, we aren't trying to give you all a sob story. However, we have lost a lot. We've had to move out of our home in Palos Verdes, and have all been working very hard to keep up with everything.

We reach out to all of our communites, asking to try our/your best to help us fight this battle for him.

Hospital bills have been piling up and we are in dire need of your help. Without paying the significant bill that is currently in place, he may be taken out of his Rehabilitation center. Without the help and surveillance that he needs, we are afriad that his situation will worsen. With your help, we can get him all the help he needs. That being: personal care, a chance to stay in The Alcott Rehbilitation Center, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and a safe environment with a staff working 24/7.

We know that this may be asking for a lot, but we know that he would try his best to help anyone in need. In return, we are trying to give back to him. In this case, time is a little sensitive, the sooner we can raise money the better. We know that we are asking for a lot, but even if we don't reach our goal, we are at least reaching something.

Please help us bring him back to a full recovered state. He deserves to finally relax and see that the world can be a beautiful place, not just working to make living. In the words of one of his favorite artists, Louis Armstrong, "And I think to myself, what a wonderful world".

Thank you so much for your time, for reading this, and for all your support.

The money will be going to Lydia Cho, our mom and Myung Cho's wife, she is the beneficiary of this campaign.
