Help our sweet Nala’s vet bills

Hi everyone. If anyone has ever met our Nala girl, you know how sweet she is. She wants nothing more in life than to be loved and chase a ball. Sadly, that’s exactly what got her into her situation.
On Saturday, January 9th, Jon and I took the dogs and Avery for a walk. There is a field in our neighborhood that we frequently walk to and throw the ball for Nala. We threw the ball and suddenly heard Nala screaming. Her front left leg was limp and she was crying. I ran back home with Avery to get the van and we hurried to the closest emergency vet, which was unfortunately 45 minutes away.
About four hours later, the Dr. finally came to tell us the news. Nala had an x-ray which confirmed that her front leg is fractured in three places. It is one of the worst breaks they have ever seen. The dr said on a scale of 10 being the worst, her break is a 10. Nala is going to have surgery on Monday to determine if it can be healed, or if we need to consider amputation. Nala needs to stay the weekend at the emergency vet since the surgeon won’t be in until Monday. On the high end, this stay will cost $2400. We won’t have a correct estimate of the surgery until Monday, but the ER vet estimated it to be around $3800.
We can’t imagine our family without Nala. She is our first baby and the best big sis to Avery. She is so patient, kind, and loving. My heart breaks for her because she does not deserve this. I’ve always said she would play fetch until her heart gave out, and sadly I know it’ll be quite a while before she chases after that ball again.
We hate to ask for help, but the vet bills we have coming in are so overwhelming. Nala is worth every penny to us, and we just want to do the most that we can to get her the care she needs. We are so grateful for anyone considering helping out our girl and her family. Thank you for your time ❤️
