Helping Mel Smith during Recovery

Hi everyone, Our names are Tailar and Chayleene, and we are starting this Go Fund Me to help our dear friend, Melissa Smith.

Mel suffered a severe concussion on March 15th 2025 around 430pm when she was hit in the back of the head while at home. She was transported to hospital via ambulance in pain and with troubles speaking. It was determined that she had a resulting injury in the form of a severe concussion. The doctor told her that she must take off 2 weeks in which she partakes in 0 activity that puts strain on her brain so that her brain can recover. She has an appointment on Tuesday to find out more about things going forward.

She is a single mom to 2 wonderful boys, and finacially is paying all these bills on her own and will lose at least one pay period (potentially more) which will put her and her boys at risk of loosing home or other essentials.

Mel has reached out to other agencies for help, but unfortunately was only able to receive help for a small portion via food hamper.

We want to raise funds to help pay her bills (rent, food, utilities, etc) so that she can focus on herself to make a full recovery. I will make sure to post updates as they come. Please help us help Mel so that she can get back on her feet!
