Lola's Losing a Leg
Donation protected
Friends, we come to you in a time of need. Our beloved dancing dog, Lola, was bit by a snake while doing one of her favorite things, exploring the great outdoors. The three of us were hiking through Big South Fork, when Lola started limping along and acting funny. Like the trooper that she is, Lola didn't even yip when she was bit! We had no idea what was wrong. Four hours later, after a hike out and long traffic jam on I-75, Lola's front right leg had doubled in size.
Lola has been at the emergency vet clinic for the last 2 days. Thankfully, the vet thinks her condition has stabilized and she will be ok . Unfortunately, her leg will not be. There is major damage to the tissue around the wound, and we will likely have to amputate her leg. Her dancing will never be the same.
With time in the hospital and possible surgeries adding up, the bills are getting quite expensive. I guess we should have gotten O-doggy-care! But we are asking for your help with these bills. Expenses are likely to be $7000. Everything helps, and we appreciate anything you may have to offer! We all want to see Lola back on her (3) legs and back exploring the woods. We love you and are grateful to have people we can reach out to in times of need! Thank you!
