The strongest man I know fight this cancer
Donation protected
Greetings to my friends and family, my dad, James Flynn, has always been about being the strong individual and the one who can always be counted on to help. However, life has dealt him a blow that none of us expected. He was diagnosed with Malignant Neoplasm of head, face, and neck on July 7th of this year.
My dad has always been the strong one who never liked to ask for help but would around to serve others if they needed it. He has spent his life trying to make the world a better place. He has served in the United States Marine Corps, worked as a police officer, and is still serving as an officer in the California Army National Guard. He has spent the last four years as a teacher for at risk students in a charter high school teaching them leadership skills.
This has been especially hard on my mom, who is disabled with serious health issues of her own. She also lost her mother a year ago to lung cancer. She was still trying to recover from that loss when this diagnosis came in and is now trying to care for my dad and their three-year-old son Kaeson. She must drive my dad to his appointments which are nearly two hours away in Mission Viejo and is also taking care of the house and Kaeson without the help of my dad. With my dad not working, she is very worried about how to provide the missing income.
With my dad starting chemotherapy and radiation, they will be driving daily between the High Desert and Mission Viejo. This is a long drive ranging from an hour and 30 minutes to two hours. Depending on how my dad tolerates the treatment, they may have stay in Mission Viejo during the week. With my dad missing work, they are going to be hard pressed to cover all these expenses.
I started this GoFundMe to help my parents with these expenses. Gas and staying in Mission Viejo is expensive and I want to make sure my dad can concentrate on getting better and not worrying about how he is going to take care of his family. We are going to beat cancer and put it in its place!
I humbly ask you to please share this with your friends and family. Any donation is appreciated, and I thank you for your support and prayers in this fight.
