Sandy's Medical Fund

Hi, my name is Tara Cofer, and I am Sandy Runnels daughter. As many of you know, my Mom was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
My Mom is one of the hardest working women I know. She is the most loving and caring women too! And has the most contagious laugh ever!
While Sandy has been in the hospital, she has received support from her husband, kids, family and her friends. Many of you have made calls and reached out to ask
how you can help. Here is your opportunity.
Mom has already been receiving medical bills from the hospitals she’s been in, and also from all of her treatment she is undergoing. And after all this is said and done, she will have an outrageous amount of medical bills to be paid. The focus of this GoFundMe account is to help her with all of her medical expenses in the end, and cover her daily expenses as well. It will also help my Dad to be able to travel back and forth to San Antonio to see my Mom.
Receiving your support will take the burden of expenses off Sandy’s mind. She will be able to focus on mending and taking care of herself.
We will be forever grateful. We have all seen what can happen when we pull together to help someone in need. So let’s do this!
Thank you for your support and taking the time to read this note. Sandy has touched so many of our lives, and she needs our help. Please be generous and give what your heart tells you… Anything helps.
Below are updates from Mom… I will keep this up to date as much as I can. She’s pretty much posts all of her updates on her FB page.

I will be taking up residency here at the hospital for the next 3 weeks, swing by if ya get a chance! I can't say enough about how awesome the hospital staff, especially the nurses have been! Luv & Hugs !!!!!
5/19/16---Day 4 of 7 days of Chemo Treatment, everything is going great. Feeling good, even de-cluttered my home away from home until the nurses told me I was making them tired!! Haha! This is my traveling the floor outfit!!! Made seven rounds today! Have a great evening everyone!!!!
5/22/16---Guess it's time for an update Prayer Worriers. I finish my last bag of chemo tonight after the infusion of 7. I've been a little weak due to the chemo totally wiping out my blood system. All is good though, we are headed in the right direction!!! Thanks again for all the support!! Bless those of you that have come by the hospital to see me!!
6/2/16---I got the all clear from my doctor this morning, NO Leukemia cells left in my body!!! Yahoo!!! For the next week we will be trying to rebuild my blood and white cell count. I will have another biopsy the end of the next week to make sure there are no bad cells in the new blood I am producing. I will still remain in the hospital for a couple more weeks. THANKS FOR ALL THE PRAYERS!!!!! Love ya!!
6/8/16---Guess it's time for an update! This week has been a time for recovery, waiting for my blood counts to recover from the chemo blast. I am happy to say they are shooting right back up there where they should be. I get to leave the hospital tomorrow for a week (YIPEE) only to return for more chemo the next week. So far all your prayers have made it to the good Lord above; I am so thankful & grateful!
