Ethan Hernandez Memorial Bench
Donation protected
Three year old Ethan Hernandez was killed in Windsor Park by a hit and run driver on May 22, 2016. We are raising funds to have a memorial bench installed at Bartholomew Park.
Ethan's parents told us Ethan loved to play at the splash pad and playground (but especially the splash pad) at Bartholomew Park. Today we visited the splash pad with the City and Ethan’s parents and found a spot with a view of the splash pad for Ethan’s bench. If you visit the splash pad you will see the paint where the city has marked a spot for the bench. Ethan's fourth birthday would have been August 20th and we would like to have the bench installed in time for that date. In order to do that we need to raise $2,400, the cost of the bench installation, by July 11th. Please donate whatever you can to help us meet that goal.
Our hope is the bench will be a reminder of Ethan's precious life and the joyful time he spent at the park.
