Hi everyone, My brother recently medically retired due to mental health concerns from his police work. Prior to that, he was a K9 handler and partnered with Zeke. He has had Zeke for 3 years, and they’ve been together 24/7 since, including the last 7 months that he has been on medical leave. Yesterday he received a phone call from the Chief, who stated they would be taking Zeke away that night and reassigning him. Not only will this decision be detrimental to my brothers recovery, but it will effect Zeke who has had Cody by his side through it all. My brother would never ask for anything like this. But I think together, we can raise enough money to bring this team back together and let Zeke retire alongside my brother, where he will live out his life as a service animal. Anything raised will be used to replace Zeke for the department, with purchase and training of a new K9. If for whatever reason this doesn’t work, the funds will be donated to an organization to place more service dogs with Police Officers that retire with PTSD. #BringZekeHome
