Rodney Sumter Jr. Support Campaign

During the events that took place Saturday night at Pulse night club in Orlando, Rodney Sumter's son was bartending and was shot. Thankfully, Rodney Jr. is in stable condition and is awaiting surgery as of Monday morning. 

Our goal is to raise money to help support Rodney and his family. They will be able to use this money to pay for medical expenses, other costs that might come up during the recovery, hotels & meals during their time in Orlando to be with their son.

Rodney considers Muhammad Ali one of his heroes and shared this quote at a recent Unit Meeting. "Champions must have will and skill, but the will must be stronger than the skill." We know that Rodney and his family have the will to pull through this together.

My name is Kevin Maki and I work with Rodney in North Florida. As my note mentioned above, myself and fellow coworkers have started this campaign to support Rodney and his family as they are with their son who is recovering from the shootings in Orlando. All money that is donated will be used by the Sumter family to help pay for their son's medical bills, meals & lodging during their stay in Orlando, and any other support for their son such as lost wages during his recovery. Rodney and his family has access to this page and will be able to receive all donations directly.
