Help The Goldens Adopt!

Heather and Paul met on Facebook in September 2015. They were internet best friends until April of 2018 when they finally made their way to each other. Over a thousand miles and 15 hours apart, Thier hearts bound to each other at last. A little over a year later they decided to get married and thier wedding finally happened in September 2020 after delays by Covid-19! 

Paul has a 12 year old son, Parker who is the light of both their lives, and their relationship with his sons mother/step father is a beautiful example of how all blended families should be. Heather and Parker's mom have become very close over the years and it has brought both of them much joy! They are so close and She even wrote one of thier reference letters for this adoption! How special! Parker is very excited to have another sibling and can't wait to be a big brother again! He has such a wonderful relationship with his little brother Michael, who has special needs. And is already an amazing big brother! 

Heather has never been able to have children biologically. Just something that wasn't in the cards for her, and at age 35, her desire to become a mother is more than words can portray. It's been her life long calling to be a mommy. On the other side, Paul can't wait to be a dad again! They are both experienced and tickled pink that they are finally taking this step together to grow their family and the option they have is adoption. A cause that's so deeply meaningful to the both of them. 

Paul and Heather completed their home study, retained a coordinator, paid application fees, initial deposits, and attorney fees. Paid those expenses and even have a nursery 100% set up and ready to go! They have invested endless hours, sweat, tears and dollars making this dream come true and are fully prepared and everything they would ever need for a baby! Only thing missing? The Baby!! 

That's where you come in! When the pandemic hit in early 2020, we had to dip into the savings we had set aside for this big event! With savings built back up we paid for the home study, pre and post placement visits, home repairs, baby proofing, and set up a baby room with all necessities taken care of! That being said our application went through much faster than we could have ever dreamed and now we need to come up with the agency payment. It is $46,800 Yes...its a LOT. But adopting a baby in the United States is VERY expensive. We weighed the pros and cons of each type of adoption but deeply wanting a newborn to raise (especially for Heather) was a big, important factor. 

We are asking for your help to make this dream come true! We don't want to miss our opportunity to be come parents! We are asking you, our friends and family, to help us make this a reality! We are exploring other options as well, loans, grants, family support and more, but knowing all of those won't quite get us to goal has us reaching out for support! Great and small.
