Please Help the Williams Family Rebuild
Hello All,
My name is Madison Williams, and my family has been profoundly affected by the devastating Eaton Fire, which began on the evening of January 7th, 2025—my 29th birthday. Tragically, we lost both my childhood home and my grandparents' home in a single night and are still struggling to process the immense loss we’ve experienced.
The devastation caused by the Eaton Fire has deeply impacted the entire Altadena community. Many families, like ours, have lost their homes and precious memories. The fire swept through our neighborhood, displacing families, destroying homes, and leaving a once-vibrant community in ashes. Yet, we remain committed to supporting each other as we face the difficult journey of rebuilding together.
My grandparents moved into their home in the 1970s and lived there for over 50 years. Their home was more than just a house—it was a central gathering place for both our immediate and extended family. Over the decades, it hosted countless holidays, celebrations, and special memories we will cherish forever. My grandparents, now retired in their 80s, had hoped to live out the rest of their days in that home. Tragically, all that remains is the fireplace.
My childhood home was purchased when my immediate family expanded in the 1990s. My sister and I have lived there nearly our entire lives—it's the only home I’ve ever known, and now it’s completely gone.
While we are so grateful to have escaped with our lives and to find comfort in one another, everything else we’ve ever owned was lost in the fire. Though some things can never be replaced, we’re hoping to use these funds to begin the long, difficult process of rebuilding our lives.
This GoFundMe campaign has been created to support both our immediate and long-term needs, including:
-Replacing basic necessities (clothing, toiletries, etc.)
-Replacing work-related electronics
-Rebuilding both homes
-Recovering from the emotional and financial setbacks
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference as we work to rebuild our lives. If you're unable to donate, sharing this page with others would be another powerful way to support us during this difficult time.
Thank you all for your kindness, generosity, and love. Your support means the world to us.
With love and gratitude,
The Williams Family
