Dean Friedel Cancer Treatment Fund

My brother Dean was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. He has dealt with pain since March 2015 of unknown cause. He spent thousands of dollars because of multiple doctor visits and for tests for which no reason was found. His pain continued and within the past few months started having swelling to his side which again unable to find a cause after seeing doctors and having tests completed. I advised he see a thoracic surgeon or spine specialist for which he did see a spine rehab provider that advised him after noting his pain, swelling and inability to fix his issue after a treatment he provided told him to go straight to the ER for whom I owe significant gratitude because he likely saved his life. He went to the ER at Sacred Heart and was evaluated and was told he had a large mass from his lung that was growing toward his spine that if another month passed without care/diagnosis he would have been paralyzed. He spent 3 weeks in the hospital. Finally a diagnosis & now the long grueling treatment has begun. He will not be able to work for some time because of his pain and treatments. He needs help with his prescriptions and living expenses. He lives with my Mother whom is doing all she can to care for him. So many of you have asked how to help and though as a hard working individual Dean would never ask for handouts he needs them now. So I ask, if you are able to provide a donation it will be graciously accepted and very much appreciated. We as a family are praying for his recovery and strength for him to overcome this devastating diagnosis but he is strong and he will overcome.
