In loving memory of Okemos Little Chief Nighthawk
On January 21 we tragically lost our precious warrior Okemos Ryan Brown. On behalf of the family*, we are trying to help raise money for funeral services. These donations will help cover ALL funeral costs as well as any other unexpected costs that his mother may inherit. Kendall Scott is beneficiary of this campaign. We appreciate contributions.
Obituary
Okemos Ryan Brown was born on August 8, 2016 to Kendall Nichole Scott of Mashpee, Ma and the late Okemos Nighthawk Brown-Northup of Charlestown, RI. Little Okemos was a preschooler at the Kenneth C. Coombs School and a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag, Narragansett and Schaghticoke Indian Tribes. He was a kind and gentle spirit who’s energy would light up the room wherever he was, some of his favorite activities included spending time with his family, playing with his cousins and friends, he also loved his Dinosaurs, attending Pow Wows and drumming. Okemos is survived by his Mother Kendall Scott of Mashpee, Grandmother Marita Scott and Grandfather David Weeden both of Mashpee. His sister Anna Lia Simpson of Ri. Grandmother Meloni Brown and Benjamin Northup of Charlestown, RI. He also leaves behind his Great Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Godparents and many Cousins. Also joining his loved ones he is pre-deceased by his father Okemos Nighthawk Brown- Northup who he is now with in the spirit world along with his family and ancestors before him. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021, 11am at the Old Indian Meetinghouse in Mashpee, Ma.
