Melany Shepard "Fire Recovery"
Donation protected
As many of you know, a fire has destroyed the home and most possessions of Melany Shepard. Although this loss is devastating, we are very thankful that there was no loss of life or injury. Fortunately, Melany Shepard and her 11 year old daughter were not home when the fire occurred. As you can imagine, the finances required to start to rebuild their live is overwhelming.
In order to coordinate efforts, the following agencies have been meeting to determine ways to assist...St. Michaels Church, Old County Road School, Smithfield Emergency Management and Smithfield Welfare and Food Pantry. Many community members have been reaching out asking how they can help. To start, family members Sue and Tom Ascoli have started a "Go Fund Me" Account to assist with fire recovery. Money raised will be used to assist with housing and other essential expenses.
On behalf of Melany and her daughter, we thank you ahead of time for any assistance.
