Financial bereavement relief of 4 daughters
Donation protected

[Us, Ava, Chelsea, Brooke & myself sitting in one of his frequented spots. wearing articles of his clothing & vans and chucks in his honor]
Our father, Bill Maggi, passed away unexpectedly on the 19th. Its taken me a few days to actually put my head about writing this due to the emotional nature of the situation. We love him very much and are all naturally having a hard time with the grieving process.
He was one of the smartest people I ever knew. He was a frequent living room contestant on jeopardy, he always had the answers. Loved poker, skateboarding, singing in public, and telling stories. He loved his kids and grandchildren so much. He was the most emotionally supportive father I could have asked for. Always gave the best advice. Always had the best hugs.
He lived a very rough life and left behind no money, or assets or life insurance. There was previously a fund to take care of his final arrangements, to which many of you have generously donated, totaling $4019. We cant thank you enough as we were not at all prepared to shoulder any out of the norm financial burdens. Due to covid we were not allowed to view him at the coroner and a good portion of that money allowed us to see our father for the last time. For that we are eternally grateful for the support of the people around us.
This fund is to help eleviate some of our financial stress as we have all not been working. One of us has kids, one about to have surgery/out of work, one about to start school, etc. All of us have been traveling (one had to come from MA) and running back and forth trying to get all his affects in order, collect his things from all over DC, and to be with each other. Expenses stacking up vs lack of income stress just makes this whole thing so much harder. I have set the bar at 1000 because i dont know what to really ask for and dont want to come off as entitled or demanding especially at a time where our whole society seems to be collectively struggling financially. We have no expectations and would simply be grateful for any help at all. even small donations do add up and would be appreciated or simply sharing the link would be helpful. Please and thank you to our community for reading this, thank you for consideration, and thank you to everybody who has already helped us.
