Hi, my name is Alisha Fields and I’m 19 years old. On March 7th 2021 I am praying that I can attend an equestrian college called Meredith Manor. It is located in Waverly, West Virginia. After initially needing $44,000 for tuition, I have gotten student loans and grants but I still need $6,500 dollars . Unfortunately, I am not able to get a loan for the remainder. Believe me, I've tried.
My whole life I have always felt like I didn’t have a purpose until I started training and riding horses. I've been bullied for my disability, but I have never let that stop me from doing the one thing in life that takes me to a different universe. I was born with septo-optic dysplasia and am legally blind. I will never be able to drive a car, but horses have excellent vision. My hope is to complete school and eventually open a riding school for the disabled. When I’m riding a horse, especially show jumping, a whole different side of me comes out.
Meredith Manor is my dream college and horse jumping is my dream sport but I need a little help to get there. I’m currently working full time at my first ever job.
Anyone who is able to help me with the remaining tuition will make my dream come true!
