Daniels Wish

On July 6, 2003, a very courageous boy was born. Two days after coming into this world he was faced with open heart surgery. Daniel was born with Transpositioning of the Great Arteries among other health issues. When he was three years old he had his second open heart surgery. After surgery he has serious complications and was in the PICU for nine weeks. He fought his way to recovery to return home just before Christmas. At age five he had his third open heart surgery and again was a trooper. In 2012 Daniel suffered a mild stroke which he recovered from with extensive therapy. Daniel is a caring, loving, happy and very bright child despite his difficulties. He is small in stature, but has more courage and toughness than most of us. He has a huge smile for all he meets. Daniel will become a teenager on his next birthday on July 6th and he continues to struggle with his health on a daily basis. His wish for his 13th Birthday is a Golden Retriever puppy that would be his buddy.
