MIA'S BACK SURGERY

Mia Yates is my sister and is having to have back surgery on the 29th of this month. She has been diagnosed with spinal stenosis. Mia has worked as a hair dresser for around 15 years, of which 5 of those years she put her husband through college and raised her family. She is a very very hard working person. Mia has come up with $1,000 dollars for her surgery but still needs 1,000 more to get this surgery done. My sister has insurance, but her deductible is $6,000. The hospital is therefore asking her to put down $2,000 up front for her to get the surgery done.
Anyone who knows Mia, knows that she is such a fun, loving, caring and hard working person. Through the years however, Mia has suffered terribly, living in tremendous pain in her back. Some days you can even see that her back slants down, and she has a hard time walking and getting up. As a hair dresser she has never missed an appointment though, and works long hours dispite her pain. She also never complains, but I can tell she is in alot of pain most days.
Spinal stenosis is the narrowing of your spinal column, and it pinches the nerves causing radiating pain throughout the back and legs.
This is one of two surgeries Mia will need to fix her back problems. The second surgery which will be the fusing of her disc L 3. This surgery however has been denied so far by her insurance company.
Spinal stenosis is a very serious problem and if not fixed can end in paralysis. Many people who have spinal stenosis actually end up in wheel chairs.
I want my sister to be able to get this surgery, and for it to help her with the pain she has lived with.
