Help Me and My Mom Buy a Hoyer Lift

My name is Helene Ferester and I have lived my whole 46 years with Cerebral Palsy. While I am blessed to have had the unending support of my mother this entire time, maneuvering in our small bathroom to help me is getting quite difficult for her as she ages.

We are looking to raise enough money to buy an electric Hoyer lift to aid in my care in our bathroom.

I am of very limited mobility and am lucky that insurance has helped in part to pay for my electric wheelchair and to retrofit a minivan with a ramp and space for my chair, but even then we have been responsible for bulks of the cost.

Unfortunately, in the case of the lift, insurance has only offered any money towards a model of the lift that won't fit in our bathroom. We're hoping, as my mother is retired and has no income, to be able to raise the money we need to buy the model of lift that we need and pay for its professional installation.

This would mean the world to me and my mother. She has struggled her entire life to make sure I have the best life possible with my limits, but unfortunately this is something limiting both of us.
