Kathy's Conquering Cancer!

Hi everyone, we are looking for your help! We are hoping that you can help us raise money for Kathy Maxey, she is a loving mother, grandmother and friend. After spending the last year taking care of her partner Herman who is battling MDS a rare form of blood cancer she received some devastating news herself. Kathy has been diagnosed with a form of cancer called adenocarcinoma (cancer of the esophagus). Herman has been in Hamilton at the Juravinski Cancer Hospital since the beginning of December, where he continues to recover from a bone marrow transplant. Herman has to continue his stay in Hamilton until at least March. With herself and Herman unable to work their monies have started disappear rather quickly with all the extra exspenses. The driving to doctor's appointments, chemo treatments, paying for parking, medications and any other extra's that have came up. Kathy has learned that after her surgery in February that she needs to purchase an adjustable bed, for she will no longer be able to lay flat she has to sleep in an upright position for the rest of her life. We are hoping as family, friends and a community that we can raise money and lessen the burden on them to purchase an adjustable bed big enough for both of them. Kathy and Herman then can be comfortable and together in one room instead of seperate rooms. During this they need to be together because they have been seperated for so long already. There is no donation too big or too small, also remember that if you cannot make a donation sharing the go fund me page or telling someone about the fundraiser is just as helpful.
