Help Jess, mom of triplets, with medical bills

Help Jess Burningham, a mother of young triplets, fight against a rare medical condition and spinal cord tumor.

Several weeks ago, our dear friend Jessica, received devastating news of a possible life threatening spinal cord tumor, which was diagnosed after months of suffering daily headaches, upper extremity numbness, tingling, and weakness. Jess is a friend, girlfriend, daughter, sister, and Mother of two year old triplets— this news and diagnosis has left us all in complete disarray. 

Initially, Jess was given only several weeks to live; therefore, was rushed into emergent neuro-surgery at the University of Utah Medical Center to remove the rapidly growing spinal cord tumor at the base of her skull. The surgery lasted a long and grueling 6 hours, leaving her in the Intensive Care Unit for days, also to undergo painful and rigorous testing, that will continue during the unforeseeable future.  

This crash course of events and medical mystery (at this point), has left her bed-ridden and out of work; unable to care for her sweet babies and family. Unfortunately, during this time of reduced household income, medical bills and child care expenses continue to stack up. This is only the tip of the iceberg, and there is still not a definitive diagnosis; many more tests must be performed along with healing and rehab, as well as future treatments. All of this, with the possibility of post surgical chemo and/or radiation, is by far heavier than what most of us can relate to; knowing that she has 3 little two year old babies relying on her to mother and nurture them daily adds to the burden.

With that being said, we’d love nothing more than to help Jess and her family in anyway possible during this time of uncertainty. For those of you who know Jess, you know that she would give you the shirt off her back; she is the definition of selflessness and loyalty.
