Danyel Hardisty Funeral and Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Danyel Hardisty was killed tragically on February 2nd. She was driving with her seven year old son, Javen, in the car when she was struck by an impaired driver. Danyel was pronounced dead at the scene and her son was taken to Blank Children’s Hospital and then to the University of Iowa due to his injuries. Javen underwent surgery today for his injuries and is expected to need several more over the next six months, possibly more because of growth.
Danyel graduated from ADM high school in 2000 and became a CNA in 2007. She had been a coworker of mine since she started at the VA in 2016. She was one of the best CNA’s I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. She gave her all to the veterans she took care of.
Danyel talked about her boys, Javen and Zachary, with such pride. She loved being a mom and was so very good at it. She enjoyed being outdoors when not at work, hiking and rock collecting with her boys.
Please donate if able, so we can lift up Danyel’s family by taking away some of the financial burden they will endure during this most difficult time.
All donations will go directly to Adrian Hardisty, Danyel’s sister, for her to set up an account for Kris and the boys. I was able to get her a room at Ronald McDonald house so hotel is not an added expense while Javen recovers in Iowa City. Funds can be expected to be used on Danyel’s celebration of life, medical expenses for Javen, and any other expenses that arise for Kris and the boys.
