29th Birthday: Car Fund
The past year of my life has been... preeeeeetty lame. Year 28 started off with recovering from getting rear-ended which resulted in a horrible Ulcerative Colitis flare-up.
So bad in fact, I was forced to quit my jobs in September of 2017 and wasn't able to start working again until June 2018.
From January 6th- March 8th I was in the hospital. I had multiple surgeries, the biggest of which was getting my colon removed and to create an ileostomy. I dropped from 150 lbs down to 118 lbs at my lowest. I experienced complete muscle atrophy and couldn't really stand up for longer than a minute or two for months. For about 2-3 months I was unable to eat anything by mouth and relied on a feeding tube going directly into my stomach in order to gain weight and receive nutrients.
Because of this crazy time being sick, in the hospital and recovering... I am not in a good financial spot.
Luckily, since I went off pain meds cold turkey (after being on them for 5 months), I've been getting more active and able to start working again. My only real issue now is the fact that I don't have a car!
I have a job and am starting another, but I need a car in order to move up to the Eau Claire, WI area and work at the gym more frequently!
Please donate anything you are able! I have a feeling year 29 will be a WHOLE LOT BETTER than year 28, it has to be!
Happy birthday to me!
I get by with a little help from my friends, THANK YOU!
