Support Katie in Her Time of Loss
Donation protected
My name is Erica Beckman. I am a friend and co-worker of Katie Jordan. On 6/28/24, Katie lost her mother suddenly. While her mom was in poor health, Katie did not expect to be without her mom at such a young age. Katie is the only child and her mom raised her alone. This puts so much strain and stress on her while she tries to navigate not only the present, but the rest of her life on her own. As Katie was not expecting her mother’s death, she is unsure of any life insurance policies that may be in place. She is actively trying to access that information.
A little about Katie…as stated above, she is 23 years old. She has been a dialysis technician for many years now and I have the pleasure of having her by my side while we care for patients doing a job we love. Katie is talented and hard-working. She is intelligent and compassionate at such a young age. She is making her way to a bright and fulfilling future. These are just a few reasons that she deserves our help.
I am asking for your help raising $15,000 to help Katie with funeral/burial expenses as well as extra funds for the cleaning of her mother's home and the care of her mom's animals. Her mom loved animals and has many cats as well as 3 dogs. As you can imagine, that is a lot for anyone, especially a young person with a full-time job to manage. Katie has PTO time to use for her time away from work but that may eventually run out. Another expense I would like to mention is that Katie’s car is no longer drivable. Katie has to rely on others for transportation to work, grocery shopping, and many other errands. I would love for her to have enough money left over to put a nice down payment on a reliable vehicle. Her beloved patients' lives depend on her presence and a staffed clinic. I would not reach out in this manner if I thought Katie was not deserving but she is completely worth it. Thank you for taking the time to read about this wonderful young woman and thank you in advance for any donation you are able to make.
