An Old Debt Came Back To Haunt Me

Donation protected
Hello there. My name is Cindy White and I'm in a major financial mess. I'm not all that comfortable with exposing the messy side of my life and wouldn't do so now if I weren't in dire straights.

Here's my story: About 5 years ago I was evicted from my apartment due to owing money for back rent. I had not been able to find work and moved in with my daughter and her family. I'm still here with them and not working a 9-5 job due to phsyical ailments a 61 year old gal can have. I used to work in an office as a data processor but these jobs are no longer available to me in particular because I don't have a degree. I no longer drive, so I don't have collateral like a car to be considered for a traditional loan through a banking institution, although I tried anyway, asking for some emergency funds. This truly feels like an emergency.

I am so close to being able to sign up for early retirement benefits by a few short months, but until then, I have no steady income. If it weren't for my daughter and her family, I wouldn't be here today. They feed me and keep me warm but raising a family makes it hard for them to help me financially. They just can't do any more than they do for me now.

I am a mosaic artist and have a plan to take my business to the next step and expand it, to get a dedicated studio and workshop. But before I can do that, I have to get this rather large debt behind me. It's not enough to declare bankruptcy and try for debt consolidation. It is only one debt but too large for me to take care of on my own.

I have to gather these funds together as soon as possible to send to the lawyer representing the manager of the apartment complex where I used to live. This debt has plagued me for years although I sell enough mosaics and other art to gather the funds together, the amount I do have is less than $100, obviously not enough.

What's probably the worst thing about this is my step-Mom was kind enough to co-sign the lease. I'm heart-sick about it possibly causing her added stress. She doesn't deserve it. It's my responsibility to find a way out of it, not just for me but for her too.

It would mean the world to me to be able to start completely over; get this taken care of so it's not a burden and to start fresh.

I'd will keep the goal of the studio workshop I want to open locally here in PA in the near future, alive. Please help me gather the funds together to pay off this debt so the dream of a dedicated studio can continue to be a positive one.

I can't do any of this without help to get this debt completely paid off and gone. Help me keep the good vibes going!

I'm so grateful you've taken the time to read this and would consider it a blessing to have this debt taken care of by your generous donations.

You can see my mosaics through my website if you'd like to see what I do. Go to www.earthmothermosaics.com

Stay peaceful and thank you,
Cindy
