10 miles for Maggie’s!

I was lucky enough to work with this fantastic charity just before Christmas and it felt like absolute magic. One of my students decided to raise money for our school house by shaving his head and all of the proceeds went to Maggie’s. Shortly after we took a trip to the local Maggies centre in Manchester and we were just blown away. The minute we walked through those doors we were transported to a space of tranquility and calm. The patients in Maggie’s are treated like family and I cannot think of a better space to digest a diagnosis and plan the road ahead. The beautiful grounds and gardens reminded me so much of my grandad Ben and I couldn’t shake how much he would love to have pottered around a garden like this and give back to such a fantastic community of people. Myself and Jay will be completing a 10 mile sponsored walk on the 28th of June in aid of Maggie’s and all the fantastic work they do but also in memory of my dear grandad Ben.
